This is a 50 minute class that is designed to utilize high intensity interval training with an MMA stylised regiment. Each class will include 30 minutes of non stop movements like calisthenics, body weight progressions and execution of basic striking, with a focus of
cardiovascular strengthening, conditioning and endurance training.
With little rest times in between 3 minute rounds to simulate the duress of constant movement and replicate how long a round actually is.
Each movement will be 3 minutes long (10 sets, total of 30 minutes worth of non-stop work, cycling through moves 1-3 + a 3 min. Bonus round.)
Each class will be different and will compliment the prior classes.
Class example:
10 sets
3:00 active/:04 rest + bonus round
30:36 total run time.
1. Upper body—Jabx2/straight x1, x3 push ups
2. Core— Elbow strike, crunch-sit ups
3. Lower body—x4 teeps (front kicks), x4 jump squats
4. Cardio—Jump Rope (3 minutes)
The remaining 20 minutes will be used to simulate MMA style movements such as striking, blocking, falling and footwork. Incorporating punches and kicks as strikes and blocking techniques. All core movements that allow for the body to learn a new skill (MMA), while simultaneously strengthening and building muscle groups that are not activated in every day movements.
Led by Yoel Ellen, who has fought for several fighting venues over the course of his MMA career since 2015, lend to his level of expertise and methodical understanding of “The Way”.
