Jersey City companies (and beyond) might want to make sure that their employees are dusting off their running shoes and getting in shape—because The Exchange Place Corporate Challenge is back live & in person!

The annual Exchange Place Corporate Challenge is a 5K run or walk that takes place in beautiful & historic Liberty State Park on Thursday, June 16, 2022, 6:00pm. The mission of this new USATF timed race is to encourage companies to use the event as a platform for promoting health and fitness in the workplace, fostering goodwill, and promoting team building among their employees while raising funds for local charities. This year's charity partner is YORK STREET PROJECT.

The Exchange Place Corporate Challenge is open to all full-time and part-time employees from organizations within the business and public sectors. All participants are encouraged to register as part of a company team, but there is no minimum, nor is there a maximum number of athletes on a team. But keep in mind that the more, the merrier—because there will be team awards given out after the race for the biggest team & fastest!

Sponsor Us. We are interested in partnering with awesome groups. For partnership information please email

The Exchange Place Corporate Challenge supports York Street Project a 501c3 charity. The mission of the York Street Project is to weave innovative programs that shelter, feed, educate and promote the healing and independence of persons in need, especially women, children, and their families.

This mission is acted out in interrelated and coordinated yet separate programs:
The Nurturing Place – Early childhood development for homeless and low-income children aged three months to five years. Here they can overcome damage to their minds, bodies, and spirits from the effects of poverty, poor nutrition and dysfunctional family situations.

St. Joseph’s Home – Provides homeless families with 12 months of supportive, communal living as the parent(s) works to improve their life and attain permanent, affordable housing. More than just a shelter, St. Joseph’s provides its families with ongoing social services from a team of professionals that include counseling, crisis intervention, family therapy, health education, parenting, life skills, and family budgeting.

St. Mary’s Residence – Safe, affordable housing for single working women with limited incomes. The Residence provides affordable housing, meals, and communal living services for each woman, allowing her to concentrate on improving her job skills for a better future.
