The original "City" Challenge Race returns this fall with preventive measures to keep participants safe.
We are excited to get back on course. This coming November 14th we are preparing an epic race at beautiful Liberty State Park. The course includes challenging obstacles alongside Lady Liberty, Ellis Island, and the New York Skyline! Stay Ready has been our motto since the pandemic started. We are ready to produce an epic race and a memorable experience for our athletes.
In accordance to The Governor’s executive order 161 this event is capped at 500 persons or less. Registration increases every Sunday at midnight and will close once we reach capacity. Remind your teammates to join early.
SAFETY MEASURES INCLUDE:
Gloves are required on course at all times.
After discussions with local authorities & health officials masks will NOT be required on course/during the run.
Masks WILL be required in the festival area, starting corrals, and where social distancing is not possible.
Staff & volunteers will wear masks at all times.
Small waves of 60 runners per start time (every 15 minutes).
Hand sanitizer available throughout the event.
Early packet pick up, to avoid crowds, prior to race day strongly suggested.
Results will be streamed live and no paper results will be printed.
To avoid congregations of groups runners are “encouraged” to leave the finish area after their run.
Runners with symptoms of covid are not allowed to participate.
Chip timing will be used and all awards calculated based on Chip Time, NOT GUN TIME.
Spectators will be limited.
