8:30 am Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K

Registration is now open for the Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K! The Main Street Donuts Shark Run 5K will feature a 3.1 mile run through Matawan NJ on JUNE 8th at 8:30 am on Main Street in Matawan. This run will pay tribute to the events of the Matawan shark attacks that took place in July 1916. The Matawan Shark attacks led to the novel and movie “Jaws”. Although tragic and terrifying for those who were victims and those involved, the events of the summer of 1916 would forever change the image of the shark worldwide. 

Runners will receive:

• SHARK SHIRT (While Supplies Last!)
  SHARK DONUT MEDAL (Design to be unveiled by March)
  SHARK DONUT!!!

Runners and walkers are invited to attend and partake in the day’s activities which include a 5K run/walk and a post-race gathering with donuts, coffee, sharks and more. A shark and donut themed medal will be given to each participant along with a delicious donut courtesy of Main Street Donuts in Matawan. 

Stroller friendly. Families and friends welcome

 The 5K is presented by Main Street Donuts and Live Run Give LLC 

5K Runners will assemble at 8:30am and run or walk through the streets of Matawan.  Finisher’s medal and a donut will be given to each registered participant.
