Officer Christopher Reeves Scholarship 5K

Race day registration and pre-registered check in will be in the rear of the Millville Police Department (Smith & High Street) 8:00-8:45 am

Officer Reeves was killed in the line of duty on July 8th 2012, leaving behind his wife, son, family, and many friends. Since 2014 the Millville Police Department has chosen to honor Chris (Superman) in a special way with a scholarship in his name. The funds raised from this event are awarded to graduating seniors from Millville Senior High School to continue their education. Additional contributions to the Officer Christopher Reeves Scholarship Fund can be made at the "Donate" tab.

- Awards given to the Top 3 Female & Male Overall and in Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

- Register by April 15 to be guaranteed a Commemorative T-Shirt

- Race Day registration will open at 8:00 am and close at 8:45. Pre-registered Check-in will stay open until 8:55

- This race is RAIN OR SHINE

COURSE

This year the course will once again start behind the Millville Police Department at Chris's parking spot, where a memorial in his honor stands, as well as bring runners by his gravesite at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, before finishing along the Maurice River in Waltman Park. *Please note that the finish line is roughly a quarter mile from the start. No transportation will be provided to and from*

The route for the 1 Mile Walk is from Millville PD to Christopher's gravesite, however we are unable to confirm whether transportation can/will be provided at this time. Updates will be provided closer to the event date.
