PAK DAY for Nourish.NJ

Glad you're here! Our purpose is to support the work of Nourish.NJ, a 365-day frontline organization creating lasting solutions to the problems of hunger, homelessness and poverty in the Morris County area. To keep Nourish's Outreach Team available to connect neighbors with critical resources such as housing, employment and medical services, they have called for the community to create PAK (Purposeful Acts of Kindness) Kits to distribute to our neighbors in need. Our role is to come together with our donations, pack them, and deliver to Nourish.NJ for their daily distribution efforts. Our goal is to create 120 PAK Kits!

There are many ways you can contribute to make our PAK DAY a success and help our neighbors. You can select more than 1 category of support. RSVP to let us know if you will be in attendance on Sat 2/3 at Tavern Off The Green and then select your donation commitments. (If you are not in a position to donate supplies or cash, you are most welcome to simply volunteer on PAK DAY. Likewise, if you would like to donate supplies and can not attend, we will arrange pick-up or drop-off.)

• Check the list of needed items on the sign-up page. Gather, solicit, purchase, or donate what you can. Claim those items below so we know what you've committed to supplying and others can clearly see what is still needed. Please commit to your contribution no later than midnight on Thu 2/1 to allow us time to shop for open items. You don't have to be available ON Saturday 2/3 to donate supplies! Email tears@practicehard.com to arrange a pre-PAK pick-up or drop-off. Otherwise, bring your contribution with you by 2 p.m. on 2/3!
• Donate some cold hard cash...or venmo/paypal it over. No shopping time, no problem. Cash will be used to purchase any non-donated supplies needed for the PAK kits. Any excess donations will go directly to Nourish.NJ. (Venmo: @AmandaTears, Paypal: @ATS411) 
• Write positive notes for the PAK kits. Preference would be to include double-sided notes - one in English and one in Spanish - and to keep them positive and inspiring while respecting that our neighbors have a variety of religious beliefs. These can be done ahead of time or on PAK DAY.
• RSVP to join the assembly circle on PAK DAY, help bring in supplies (starting at 1 p.m.), help bring out completed PAK kits, or write positive notes.

We are fortunate to have Tavern Off The Green donate their space for PAK DAY. They have very tasty beverages available for purchase and you can bring food in from any neighboring eatery. Please note this is a bar setting intended for our friends 21+. If you are under 21, but are hoping to attend PAK DAY, please reach out so we can request special permission. Parking recommendations will be available soon and we will have drop-off instructions for anyone having heavy or cumbersome donations.
