Registration will close 8PM on 9/15/23 for the 5K.  1 mile walkers can register up until 8:15 AM 9/16/23.  

Shirts are not available for anyone who registers after September 4, 2023.

Wings of Life 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk Morning Event

On behalf of all who have been part of creating the Wings of Life 2023 inaugural 5k/1 Mile Walk & Community Event, we want to sincerely thank you for signing up to join us Saturday, September 16th to be part of our movement.

Everyone is encouraged to arrive early, park your vehicle and make your way to registration.  There are over 500 participants and it will take some time to park and get through the registration line.  Carpooling will be beneficial, if possible.     

The walk will start at 9:00 AM.  The run will start at 9:10 AM.  Everyone must register at the Pavilion by 8:30am.  There are no walk-up registrations for the 5k run.  Day of walkers can register at the Pavilion before 8:15AM.

Parking

Ella Harris parking lot 126 Bridgeton Pike (across from McDonalds)

Harbaugh Village parking lot (must use entrance on Bridgeton Pike/Rt. 77) entrance is just south of the Mullica Hill Professional building at 134 Bridgeton Pike.

The 127 Commissioners Road parking lot near the baseball fields will be closed to traffic.  

Volunteers

All volunteers need to check in at the Pavilion between 6:45AM – 7:00 AM and receive their assignments.

 

Wings of Life American Legion Event/Live Concert 4PM to 8PM

There are close to 300 people confirmed for this event.  Parking will be off site.  If you can Uber or car pool it will be beneficial.  Please allow time to park and walk to the American Legion building @ 141 North Main Street, Mullica Hill.  

Keep in mind this is an outdoor event and the stage is located on the grass property behind the American Legion Building.  You will need to bring a blanket, chair or something to sit on.  You are welcome to bring an EZ UP portable tent if you choose.  

Registration

Doors open at 3PM.  Registration will be on the right side of the building in the parking lot as you approach from the street.  You must go through registration to enter the site.

All pre-paid participants will receive a wrist band at registration, all walkups can register.

Parking

All parking is off site.  You will need to park your car, then walk to the American Legion building. There will be guards to assist people crossing the street in front of the American Legion Building.  

If you need assistance, you can be dropped off at the roundabout in front of the building.

Volunteers

Volunteers are asked to arrive and check in at 12:00 PM to assist in setting up the site.

On September 16th, please join us for the Wings of Life 5K & 1 Mile Walk in Memory of Paul M. Donahue, Andrew Matter, Brian O. Blazek & all others tragically lost, to recognize the culmination of suicide awareness week.

The 5K run & 1 mile walk will start at 9:00 AM at Ella Harris Park in Mullica Hill. At the finish line, participants will receive a complimentary bracelet and t-shirt. 

In the afternoon, join us from 4PM - 8PM at the American Legion for live music, food trucks, and yard games. The live music line-up includes Exit 2, Camo Pants, and South Jersey Mixtape. Attendees should bring chairs and pop-up tents to enjoy the music outdoors. 

Our mission is to bring residents together during Suicide Awareness Week in recognition of an epidemic that impacts so many families across our community. Whether you have lost a loved one, or you or someone you know struggles with mental health, this event serves as an opportunity to bring a light to the darkness.

Children under 14 can attend the 5k, 1 mile walk or live music event in the afternoon at no cost.  Food and beverages are available for purchase.
