About the Wishes 5k
Dreamed up as a way to ease the discomfort of children suffering from illness, the First Annual Wishes 5k has finally become a reality. Registrants will be given the option to fund different items or projects requested by hospitals to better serve the children under their care. Items range from a swing set to an Xbox to a large-ticket Teen and Adolescent Lounge project.
Runners and walkers attending the Wishes 5k will feel fantastic about completing their race and encouraged by the fact that 100% of their registration funds go directly to the cause they support. Individual 5k racers will pay $15, whereas group registrants will pay $10 per group member (minimum of 4 members). Walkers will pay a $10 individual fee. There will be an additional $5 charge for race day registration for 5k runners, but no additional fee for walkers. Runners who register before 2/24 will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
