Heart of Gold 5K

The FLOW Heart of Gold 5k Race is a fundraiser for first responders in the FLOW region of Bergen County, New Jersey. Hosted by local Oakland residents, we aim to support these heroes of our towns by splitting all profits evenly between the Fire, Police, and EMS departments of all three towns (Wyckoff, Oakland, Franklin Lakes). Along with these essential first responder agencies, we will also be supporting the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Shelter.

The race itself would be in Oakland’s “Industrial Park” on Bauer Ave. The link to the course details is listed below.

There will be one heat with runners placed at the front and walkers placed at the back. All results will be separated at the end of the race and race timing will be professionally provided and uploaded by Tristate Timing. There will be a fully digital race clock, computer system, bibs, and results uploaded within RunSignup included at the Heart of Gold 5K in 2024.

The top ten placers for each gender will receive a medal, and the first overall placer for each gender will receive a specially designed trophy.

Pre-Registration ends at midnight on Friday, 6/14. Same day registration and packet pickup will begin at 8:30am on race day morning. The race itself will begin promptly at 9:30.
