The Oburg 5K known as the Major Race in a Miner Town has taken new direction and energy as it prepares for a new partner Sussex County Habitat in 2019! A new home reconstruction was just finished on Main Street thanks to Habitat! Runners and walkers will run through the historical Sterling Mine at around 2 miles, one of few in the world known for its rare displays...Each participant receives a free 2 hour pass until July 1st. Participants get a chance to sport a miner's helmet while passing thru the mine only. The day will be celebrated with music, spray water stops, food and fun for all ages. The Minor's Mile will run for kids 5 years and up with race day sign up for $5. Shirts and goodie bags for all 5Kers while supplies last. Parking at the school and as directed. Start at the school and finish at the firehouse. Lots of Johnnie's for your comfort!! Unique awards as designed by Habitat and 60 medals for top three 10 year age groups.
