Get ready for a day of movement and collective joy! The Joy Run 5k is a fun run and annual community event inviting participants of all ages to move for our collective wellness and joy. This event offers participants of all ages a chance to be active and connect with local small businesses, food vendors, and community organizations. Every September, we come together to advance how we can strengthen our communities, be active, and have fun!
Race Event Highlights:
- Scenic Route: The 5K course takes you around the beautiful riverscape of Cooper River Park, offering a mix of picturesque city and river views.
- Chip Timing: For those looking to compete, we offer professional chip timing by South Jersey Race Timing to track your performance accurately.
- Race Photo Booth: Capture the fun of the day at the Joy Photo Booth snapping photos with your race medal, family and friends.
- Family-Friendly: Bring the whole family! We have activities and entertainment for kids, making it a great day out for everyone.

- Event T-Shirt: A $25.00 commemorative T-shirt for all participants who register by September 5th.

WHO WE ARE
The Joy Run is the official 5k for the Coalition for Food and Health Equity. Bring joy to those in need with each step towards the finish line. This exciting event not only promotes health and fitness but also provides a fantastic opportunity to support the Coalition for Food and Health Equity and make a meaningful impact in our community. Coalition Equity aims to raise funds to support the most pressing food security and nutrition needs of individuals and families across the Tristate, including emergency hunger services, care coordination, community fridges, and nutrition and wellness services.
HOW IT WORKS
- Register and choose Coalition for Food and Health Equity as the charity partner and follow the online registration process.
- Upon completing your race registration, you’ll be redirected to create your fundraising page.
- Set up your fundraising page and start fundraising!
- Once you raise the $250 fundraising minimum, Coalition Equity will refund your entry fee and processing fees. Please note that if you add on any options (such as a t-shirt), you will not be reimbursed for these fees.

- Complete the sponsor tier and payment submission using this submission link.
- Send company logo to move4joy@coalitionequity.org in vector format (Illustrator or .eps).
To schedule an in-person payment drop off please call 800-943-1752 ext. 715 or email move4joy@coalitionequity.org. To guarantee logo placement on race day materials all sponsorships must be received by August 15th, 2024.
