Description
The 2024 Spartan Spirit 5K will be run through the historic streets of downtown Somerville on Saturday, June 22, 2024, beginning at 8:30 am. The race will start and end at 240 Mountain Avenue. Funds raised through this event will directly support the financial aid efforts of our parish schools. Entry in the race entitles participants to post-race awards breakfast and beverage garden. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase. In addition, partial proceeds from the 2023 Spartan Spirit 5K will support Civica who provides affordable insulin for those in need. Alumni and friends will have the opportunity to tour the high school campus following the race.

REGISTRATION: In-person registration and bib pick-up Friday, June 21, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Somerville Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 1068, 375 Union Avenue, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Race day registration and bib pick-up Saturday, June 22, 7:00 - 8:00 am, Immaculata High School Gym Entrance, 240 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876
RACE START TIME: 8:30 am (5K Run/Walk through the historic town of Somerville)
AWARDS: 10:00 am
5K ENTRY FEE: $35, $20 for students under 18 years of age. Same day registration is $45 for all participants.
AWARDS: Overall Male & Female (3&3), Overall Alumni Male & Female (3&3), Top 3 Male/Female in the following age groups:
10 and under, 11 - 14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70 - 79, 80+. No duplicate awards. Scoring by Compuscore.
LOCATION: Immaculata High School, 240 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ.
PARKING: Limited on-site parking. Please use the Immaculate Conception Church and School parking lot and walk down to Immaculata High School. Parking will be limited on Mountain Avenue or adjacent side streets.

Mile Markers
Start: Facing west on the north side of Immaculata High School, in line with the northeast corner of the building, 11’ 6” northwest of the Stop sign, 29’ 6” south of lamp post #19920 SV, which is next to the southeast corner of the wall of the free-standing garage.
Mile 1: Facing south on Mountain Ave. just after the turn from W. Summit St., in line with the south end of the concrete stairs to house #115, 11’ north of the “No Parking When Road is Snow Covered” sign.
Mile 2: Heading west on Main St. between N. Bridge St. and Division St., across from the French doors of Savor restaurant at #18, 60’ east of the hydrant in front of #24 Phoenix Café.
Mile 3: Heading north on Mountain Ave. between Brookside Ave. and Oak Terrace, just before the right turn onto the IHM driveway, across from the door to apartment #8B, 29’ south of the storm sewer inlet which is next to the utility pole 61829SV.
Finish: Heading north on the IHS driveway in front of the school, 55’ 9” north of the northernmost crosswalk stripe at the school entrance, between the 13th and 14th windows of the school building counting from the entrance.
