PLEASE NOTE: While we hope to host our second annual 5K Foot Pursuit race in-person, we know the COVID-19 pandemic and current (and potentially future) governmental restrictions may not allow for it. In the event that the race cannot be held in-person, our event will go on as a VIRTUAL run.
Join us on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 for Long Beach Island P.B.A. 175's second annual 5K Foot Pursuit. Race starts at 8:30am! Organizers will be on-site beginning at 7am to distribute bibs for pre-registered runners, as well as sign up those interested in registering same-day.
This family-friendly run/walk takes participants through Surf City and parts of Ship Bottom on a fast, flat course. Jogging strollers ARE permitted! Participants registered by 09/13/2020 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; shirts will be first come, first serve for those registered after and/or on the day of the event.
***Proceeds from the event will benefit P.B.A. 175 and the charity of P.B.A. 175's choice, which will be posted once approved.***
Medals for top 3 overall finishers (male and female)! Medals also for first place (male and female) in the following age divisions:
Early packet pick-up on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 from 5pm-7pm at the Surf City Volunteer Firehouse, located at 713 N. Long Beach Boulevard (Surf City, NJ).
Race will begin on the 100 block of N. 8th Street in Surf City. Participants will run south on Central Avenue to W. 6th Street in Ship Bottom. Participants will head west on the 200 block of W. 6th Street in Ship Bottom to Barnegat Avenue. Participants will run north on Barnegat Avenue to 17th Street in Surf City. Participants will run east on the 200 block of N. 17th Street to Sunset Avenue. Participants will run north on Sunset Avenue to N. 20th Street. Participants will run east on N. 20th Street back to Central Avenue. Participants will run south on Central Avenue back to the 100 block of N. 8th Street to the finish line.
