GNS 5K to Founders' Day

Join us in celebrating Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated's 101 years of dedicated service with our virtual 5K run/walk event. As a nonprofit organization, we're committed to promoting sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for women and their families through education, health awareness, and leadership development.

Participate in the 5K at your own pace, wherever and whenever you prefer ( or with us details below). You can record and upload your run/walk results in our app from November 5, 2023, at 12:00 AM to November 12, 2023, at 11:59 PM.

Sorors, Philos, Rhoers, Rhosebuds, Greeks, family and friends you are welcome to join us in person Sunday November 5th 1pm 9 Cherry Lane, West Orange, NJ We will meet in the parking lot and walk/run by the lake near the paddle boats. (Weather permitted)

The proceeds from this event will support the Gamma Nu Sigma Chapter and its various initiatives, including educational programs to ensure students have the tools they need to learn. Our activities range from hosting an annual Operation Big Bookbag, providing backpacks with essential school supplies, to organizing a Youth Symposium with workshops on mental and physical health awareness, college and career readiness, financial literacy, CPR training, and more.

We also offer scholarships, both monetary and electronic devices, to high school students participating in our essay contest on international socio-economic events. Additionally, we contribute to causes like breast cancer awareness, St. Jude, Soles for Little Souls, March of Dimes, Prom Boutique, and providing Christmas gifts for children.
