You must bring a valid photo ID.
All participants must also complete the required USAT Triathlon waiver. Please print and bring it with you, or plan to complete it onsite during packet pickup. Forms will be available.
There is no race-day packet pickup.
Race Day – Sunday, May 11
6:30 AM: Transition area opens and body marking begins
7:15–7:35 AM: Optional pool warm-up
7:45 AM: Pre-race meeting
8:00 AM: Race begins with the swim
Bathrooms will be available near the pool prior to the event.
Limited parking is available at the YMCA, park nearby if necessary. All participants will be given a bike plate, sticker for their helmets (required to wear), bib number for the running portion, and a timing ankle tag. Handlebar plugs are required.
Swim – Serpentine Pool Start
The swim will be conducted in a serpentine pattern (lane-to-lane flow).
Start order is based on your predicted swim time, from fastest to slowest.
Lifeguards will be on duty.
Your bib number determines your swim order in ascending numerical order.
No WETSUITS allowed. Wear swimsuits, please!
Transition Area
Opens at 6:30 AM.
This is a single, centralized zone for both transitions (swim-to-bike and bike-to-run).
A transition map is attached. Please review it in advance and familiarize yourself with the setup before the race begins. No spectators allowed in the area.
Relay Teams
All timing chip exchanges must take place in the transition zone.
The cyclist must receive the chip from the swimmer before unracking the bike.
After completing their segment, the cyclist must rack the bike before handing the chip to the runner.
Bike Course – Foothills and Road
The bike course is primarily off-road and includes two short technical sections.
The return section is on paved roads. Participants must stay in designated bike lanes and follow all rules of the road as streets won't be shut down.
The course will be clearly marked with arrows, signage, and orange mini flags.
Water stations will be located at approximately mile 1.5 and mile 3.5.
Mountain or dirt bikes are strongly recommended.
E-bikes are not permitted.
Run Course – Mini Lollipop Loop
The run course follows a short looped path and will be clearly marked with orange mini flags and signs.
Volunteers will be stationed at key turns.
A water station will be available at approximately mile 1.5.
Results, Awards and Medals
Overall female and male winners will receive a special award. The top male and female in each age group will receive a medal (15-19, 20-24, 25-29...etc up to 80+). The fastest relay will also receive medals.
Medals can be picked up at the post-race celebration area at Bridges.

Each participant 21 and over will receive one free beer.
You will also receive a coupon code for discounts at select businesses in the Bridges on Tramway Shopping Center. Please park at the Noah's Ark pre-school across from Bridges.
Course Etiquette and Safety
Both the Bike and Run course cross Tramway at Comanche via the pedestrian bridges. Cyclists are asked to follow rules of the road when going east on Comanche and runners are asked to stay on the sidewalk. If you approach another participant on the course, please announce that you are passing.
Stay to the right of the path to allow others to pass safely.
In areas with more traffic, tight turns, or technical sections, slow down and dismount your bike if necessary.
Please be courteous to fellow athletes and follow all instructions from volunteers and race staff. This race is taking place in Open Space which could have some presence of hikers and other people, so please be respectful.
