Description
The full Moon for September 2020 is the Full Corn Moon and will occur at 11:22pm MST on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. This run is in honor of the Full Corn Moon. Historically, Native Americans gave a name to each month’s full Moon, naming it in relation to a natural event or sign of the season. This aided them in tracking the progression of the year. Different peoples had different names, reflecting the area where they lived. One such name for the September full Moon was the Full Corn Moon because it traditionally corresponded with the time of harvesting corn. All proceeds from race registrations will be donated to Navajo Ethno-Agriculture (https://navajofarming.org).
For this challenge, your goal is to run 24 hours within the entire month of September. It's up to you how you choose to accomplish running 24 hours - you can do it all in one day or spread it out over the course of 30 days, or choose time allotments which work best with your schedule. This is a self-timed/recorded event. Results are based on the honor system. You can purchase your official race shirt through Bonfire, here https://www.bonfire.com/golden-ultra-24-hour-challenge/
The first 20 participants to register will each receive a free Kudos Coaster Plus https://www.kudos2u.com
Participants can post questions and race/run updates to the Golden Hour Ultra Facebook group page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/293568278481311/
