Virtual Run for the Santa Fe COVID-19 Response Fund

We hope you’ll get outside and move with your community (virtually) joining you. We’ll provide the motivation and a location where you can share results, your “route,” your experience, and your stories online.  Basically, you can run (or walk or hike) whatever distance you want, whenever you would like and share with the community however much information you’d like to.  

The Virtual Run for the Santa Fe COVID-19 Response Fund is sponsored by the Santa Fe Striders and Century Bank. Registration is FREE. We are encouraging people to make a donation to the Santa Fe Community Foundation's COVID-19 Response Fund. The COVID-19 Response Fund supports a diverse array of needs during the crisis and prioritizes support for local nonprofits focusing on health/wellbeing and food insecurity.

The Details:

Register here for the 0K, 5K or the 1K kids run and let us (and the world!) know. Registration is free. Run anytime, anywhere you want and for any distance that you want in the period between June 11 and July 4, 2020. When you've completed your run, come back to the site and record your time. Upload photos of your pre, post or in-progress run and share your stories on Instagram or Facebook .

You may run any 5K course that you want. If you would like a suggestion, the old Run Around course starts at the Plaza, goes over to and up Alameda, Palace over to Canyon Rd, around Cristo Rey church and then back to the Plaza. (See attached map)

Kids are encouraged to participate also. If kids run around the Plaza, parents are responsible for their safety including vehicles, bikes and other people. We will have medals available for all kids that complete runs. If you would like a kid's medal, please contact Jim at Owens_Jim@msn.com or 505-231-6166.

If you still need motivation to run with the Santa Fe virtual community, we are offering prizes! Each runner that registers will be entered into a raffle. A random number drawing will be held on Sunday, July 5th.
