This is a Las Cruces Running Club Virtual 5K event and fundraiser.
On October 16, 2020, we lost our longtime President, Lawrence Joy. Lawrence was a great friend, fellow runner and vocal supporter within the Las Cruces running community. In honor of Lawrence's life and contributions we've created the first annual Run for Joy to be held virtually in 2021 due to COVID-19. Proceeds from race registration will be donated to the American Heart Association. To participate, run a 5K anywhere in your city or countryside between March 1st and March 31st - Lawrence's birthday month. Registration begins Valentine's Day 2021 (February 14th) and closes March 14, 2021.
