Description
Sheila Poole (1962-1997), of Yarmouth, was a well-known and much-loved member of the running community. Although awarded many times for her athletic ability, Sheila is most remembered for her positive nature, mental toughness, and caring attitude. In dedication to a life well-lived, The Human Race 10K, held annually in Yarmouth since 1984, was renamed The Sheila Poole 10K in 1998 in memory of Sheila.
