Event Description
Join us for the 2nd Annual Water Park Triathlon at Wild Island Water Park, proudly sponsored by Reno Running Company, Wild Island Water Park, and Brooks Running.
This one-of-a-kind triathlon is designed for all ages and fitness levels and features three unforgettable "legs":
💦 Slide – Kick things off by racing down the Zulu Slide.
🏃 Run – Then head out for a fun 1-mile run or walk through the park.
🌊 Lazy River – Finish by navigating through the lazy river, swim or jog, or a little of both!
This is a timed event where the goal is simple: complete as many laps of the course as you can before time runs out! Winners aren't determined by the fastest single lap—they're crowned based on the total number of completed laps. Pace yourself, have fun, and see how many times you can conquer the course! In other words, slide, run, float, laugh and REPEAT!
100% of the proceeds benefit Sierra Endurance Sports, a local nonprofit dedicated to making endurance sports more accessible throughout Northern Nevada. Through youth programs, community events, scholarships, and support for active lifestyle initiatives, Sierra Endurance Sports helps young people discover the lifelong benefits of movement, fitness, and community.
Doors at Wild Island open at 5:00 PM, and the event will start at 6:15 PM. The event and park will close around 8:30 PM. Separate tickets are not required for entry into Wild Island (the park will be closed to the public and only open for race participants), but only the features being used for the triathlon will be available to use.
Please Note: Participants must be at least 42 inches tall to ride the Zulu Slide, which is one portion of the triathlon course. Participants 17 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult.
