For Athletes and Participants
Enter NWANA Competitions
Participate in current NWANA Nordic Walking competitions, submit your results, follow standings, and compete with participants from across North America and beyond.
Each competition publishes its own distances, divisions, eligibility requirements, rules, and result-submission procedures. Any separate athlete license required for a particular competition will be identified in that competition’s rules.
Explore the Competition System
Learn about NWANA Stadium, Road, Cross-Country, and Relay competition, age divisions, competition progression, athlete conduct, and the standards used across the NWANA sport system.
Join or Build an NW Group
Join an existing NW Group or help establish a Nordic Walking community, sports organization group, or other local group connected with the NWANA system.
NW Groups can provide a foundation for regular participation, athlete development, local activities, teams, and competitions.
For Coaches, Officials, and Organizers
Become an Instructor or Coach
Develop the technical and instructional knowledge needed to teach Nordic Walking, support participants, and work with developing or competitive athletes.
Become a Judge or Technical Official
Help support fair and consistent competition through knowledge of Nordic Walking rules, technique evaluation, event procedures, athlete conduct, and competition administration.

Organize a Nordic Walking Competition
Work with NWANA to develop a Nordic Walking competition consistent with appropriate technical, operational, safety, and participant-protection standards.
Contact NWANA before presenting or promoting an event as affiliated with, recognized by, or sanctioned by NWANA.
For Organizations and Supporters
Partner with NWANA Sport
Collaborate with NWANA on competitions, athlete development, education, event locations, timing and results, technical operations, community access, media, or other areas of sport development.
Partnership is based on practical collaboration and shared development.
Sponsor NWANA Sport
Support competitions, athlete opportunities, awards, officials’ development, event operations, technology, rankings, local sport growth, or broader public awareness of Nordic Walking competition.
Sponsorship recognition is developed according to the supported program, audience, geographic area, and level of involvement.
Support the Development of Nordic Walking Sport
