Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie & Hoka's Virtual Valentine's Day Fun Run/Walk

We are partnering with Hoka for a Valentine's Day themed virtual 2.14 mile fun run or walk to be completed anytime from Monday 2/8 to Sunday 2/14.  

You don't need to be local to join however those local to Poughkeepsie, NY will have the opportunity to demo a pair of the brand new Hoka Carbon X 2 during their run.  All participants will also receive a pair of Zensah Valentine's Day Socks ($20 value).  Please read through all of the additional details below before registering!  

The Run:
Participants are tasked with completing a 2.14 mile run or walk anytime from Monday 2/8 through Sunday 2/14 and submitting their time into the Run Signup portal.  The run or walk can be completed anywhere that you would like, including a treadmill or anywhere outdoors.  You will track the time that it takes to complete the 2.14 miles using a treadmill, a GPS watch or ANY activity tracking app (examples include but are not limited to: Runkeeper, Nike Run Club, Strava, etc. etc.).  We will send an email before end of day on Sunday 2/7 with the specifics on how to submit your time for the leaderboard.  Times must be submitted by 11:59pm on 2/14 for inclusion on the leaderboard.  For those competitively spirited runners, the leaderboard will be sorted by the fastest time but please don't feel that you have to be at all competitive to participate, this event is just for fun and to keep everyone moving!   

It's Time to Fly with the new Carbon X2:
The brand new Carbon X 2 is Hoka's carbon-plated lightweight and super responsive shoe recently worn by Jim Walmsley when he broke the 100K American record.  Local participants will have the option of "test driving" a Hoka Carbon X 2 anytime during Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie's normal business hours from Monday 2/8 through Sunday 2/14.  Additionally, anyone who tries the shoes at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie and completes a short survey on them will be entered to win a free pair of Carbon X 2 shoes!  You can take the demo shoes "off campus" for an hour or 2 if you would like to complete your run elsewhere, otherwise you are welcome to complete your 2.14 mile run or walk around the Shoppes at South Hills Shopping Center.  The following sizes will be available to demo:  Women's Sizes 6-10 & Men's sizes 8-13.  

Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie is located at 1895 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12061 and business hours are: Mon-Sun 10am-7pm, Sat 10am-6pm & Sun 11am-4pm.  If you are taking out a pair of demo shoes close to the end of the day, please have them back before we close.  

Giveaway:  
All participants will receive a pair of Zensah Valentine's Day socks in either no-show or mini crew styles.  Please select your correct size when ordering as we are unable to make swaps.  Sock pickup for local residents will begin on Friday 2/12.  Shipping is also available for $3 (additional details below). 


Small:  Fits Women's Sizes 5-8 & Men's Sizes 4-6.5
Medium:  Fits Women's Sizes 8.5-11 & Men's Sizes 7-9.5
Large: Fits Women's Sizes 11.5+ & Men's Sizes 10-12.5 
XL: Fits Men's sizes 13+ 

OPTIONAL Shirt Add-On:
Participants have the option of adding a fun custom long-sleeve shirt to their registration for an additional $22 saving $3 on the shirt if purchased here vs. in-store. Shirts will also be available for sale in-store for $25.  Register before 2/5 for best size availability.  

Registering:
We are putting in our sock order on 2/5 so please try to register before that date to ensure you get the size & style of your choice, after that date you will only be able to select from available inventory which will likely be limited. 

Please also be sure to register with a valid email address, meaning on that you check regularly (not your old hotmail account with 150,000 emails that you haven't checked in 3 years!).  We will be sending out 2 important emails on how to update your time as well as the details of the sock pickup that you won't want to miss!  We send each participant an individual email to avoid it being filtered by Run Signup however our emails may occasionally be filtered by spam.  Please search your inbox & spam folders for emails from info@fleetfeetpoughkeepsie before reaching out to say that you did not receive any communications from us.  It also helps if you add us to your address book as a safe sender. 

SWAG Pickup (for those who are local to Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie):
SWAG pickup will start on Friday 2/12.  An email will be sent by end of day on Wednesday 2/10 with the specifics of the pickup.  

SWAG Delivery (for those who are NOT local to Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie or those who prefer shipping): 
Shipping is available for $3.00 per packet (US Only) and all socks (and shirts if selected) will be mailed by Monday 2/15 with an estimated arrival date of Friday 2/19.  USPS is experiencing delays so your patience is appreciated.
