9th Annual 5K Race for Scholarships 
5K Race/Walk

LOCATION: Alden High School Campus, 13190 Park Street, Alden, NY (in front of Alden High School)
• Awards Ceremony and Party-in-the-Park to follow, Alden Town Park (adjacent to Alden High School)
• Parking available for the Race Event at the Alden High School and Alden Middle School Parking Lots; Alden Village Plaza on Broadway (West on Broadway near the Alden Village Bandstand Park)

5K COURSE: Flat course begins in front of Alden High School and ends in Alden Town Park
• Map available on-line at www.alden.dollarsforscholars.org
• Event USATF Sanctioned and Course Certified to be accurate by USATF # NY07013JG

REGISTRATION: Pre-registration must be post-marked by MAY 20th or On-Line by MAY 29th
• On-site Race Day packet pick up for Pre-registered Entrants available from 4:00 PM - 6:15 PM
• On-site Day of Race Registration also available from 4:00 - 6:00 PM
• Race T-Shirts with Sponsor Logos guaranteed to all Pre-Registrant Entrants
• Race Registration Form and On-Line Registration available at: www.alden.dollarsforscholars.org or www.yellowjacketracing.com

ENTRY FEES: Pre-registered by MAY 20th: 5K Run/Walk; $20. (U.S. Funds)
Registration after MAY 20th and Day of Race Registration: 5K Run/Walk; $25 (U.S. Funds)

AWARDS: Cash Prize to 1st Place Male Runner and 1st Place Female Runner Overall
• Awards to the top 3 Male and Female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70–over

POST-RACE: Awards Ceremony immediately following the Race Event; to include Sponsor Recognition
• Party-in-the-Park with Grilled Food, Pizza, Snacks, Chilled Beverages, Music
• 50/50 Split Raffle

AGE CATEGORIES: Pre-K Less than 200 Meters
5 - 7 Years 200 Meters
8 - 10 Years 800 Meters (1/2 Mile)
11 - 13 Years 1,600 Meters (1 Mile)

REGISTRATION: In-Person on Race Day
• 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM
• Alden High School Campus, 13190 Park Street, Alden, NY
• Registration Table located under the outdoor Atrium

Pre-Registration (By MAY 20th)
• Please mail Entry Form to: Alden Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 116, Alden, NY 14004
• Check payable to: Alden Community Scholarship Foundation

ENTRY FEES: $5.00 (U.S. Funds) for Each Child
• Cash or Check only on Race Day

AWARDS: Road ID Gift Certificate ($15.00) and Placement Ribbons awarded
to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Finishers in each age Group
• Race Participation Ribbon given to each child/Student registered for the Kids' Fun Run
• Alden "School-colors" Water Bottle given to the first 10 finishers in each age Group

POST-RACE: Awards Ceremony immediately following the Kids' Fun Run
• Kids' Fun Run participants given Chilled Beverage (from McDonalds of Alden)
and Cupcakes (from Parkside Cupcakes)
• Activities to include Face Painting and Bounce House
