APO Halloween Hustle
October 29 – 31, 2021
5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Algonquin Parent Organization (APO) would like to invite you participate in the 2nd Annual APO Halloween Hustle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. All proceeds will go to help the APO support the students and staff at Algonquin Middle School. Anyone is welcome to join in. Grab your family and friends and get outside for some exercise while connecting with our community! For extra fun, run in costume and be sure to share your pictures.
WHERE?
This year you have several options for how to participate:
- IN PERSON - You can join us in person on Saturday October 30th at 10AM in Butler Park (9AM for the 1 Mile) to run/walk your race with others on a designated route that goes around the high school property.
- VIRTUALLY - You can choose to participate virtually and run (or walk) your race from any location you choose. Run your own race, at your own pace, and record your time online when you are finished
- FEELING LIKE A ZOMBIE? If you would like to support Algonquin and the APO, but can't join in on a race, you can register as a Zombie Sleep-in Supporter.
WHEN?
- IN PERSON - Join us on Saturday October 30th at 10 AM in Butler Park for the 5K, 9AM for the 1 Mile
- VIRTUALLY - You can run your race any time between Friday, October 29th and Sunday, October 31st. After you have completed your run, make sure to record your time online and see how well you did among your AMS family, friends, and teachers.
COST: $10 per participant (+ $1.58 Sign-Up Fee)
REGISTRATION: Registration ends October 31, 2021 at 11:59pm EST
T-SHIRTS: T-shirts are available for purchase separately. The cost is $15/shirt and the proceeds will go to the APO. We will be arranging delivery/pick-up times at AMS, or they can be shipped directly to you from Custom Ink (additional shipping fees will apply). No extra shirts will be available so if you are interested please be sure to order in advance. If you ordered shirts by October 12th, they will be delivered on October 29th.

Race Route - In Person
We are excited for you to join us in the 2nd Annual APO Halloween Hustle. We will be starting at Butler Park on Saturday October 30.
1 Mile Fun Run, 9AM Start To keep this race simple for our younger participants, the 1 mile run will consist of two loops around Butler Park. Start time will be 9AM. We will have cones set up to help guide you along the course.
5K Fun Run, 10AM Start Start in Butler Park heading toward the high school, two loops around the high school fields and the driveway that goes by the tennis courts, back to Butler Park for a full loop around and back to the start/finish. We will do our best to mark the course with cones and flags.
