- A real trail race in New York City on Sunday, 2 April 2017 at 10:00 a.m.!
Prepare for a rugged, technical trail race in historic Van Cortlandt Park in the heart of the Bronx. In the case of bad weather, the race goes on! Stay for the half-mile children's race at 11:30 am celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Friends of Van Cortlandt Park. Medals/ribbons to all finishers. $2.00 registration fee, payable day of.
$22 pre-registration, $30 race day.
Race swag to first 200 registered runners.
Age group Awards: carrot cakes and muffins to top 3 in each age group
Raffle following 10K with prizes from local businesses!
Proceeds donated to programs supporting natural trail maintenance in Van Cortlandt Park!!
Public transportation: Take the 1 Train to the end of the line and walk 500 yards. Please check on line for subway updates. Runners can take Metro North Hudson Line to Marble Hill from 125th Street, or Grand Central Station, or anywhere along the line. Check train times here (make sure the time is for Sunday schedule)
From Marble Hill, it is about a 1.5 mile jog to start of race, or take the 1 Train to the end of the line at Van Cortlandt.
Drivers: Parking is available all along Broadway, however you will definitely find in the Van Cortlandt Golf Course parking lot, just a short jog to the start of the race.
