Program Dates: December 17th - March 1st, 2026
Kickoff is at the ever popular Count the Lights Run/Walk at 6PM on Wednesday, December 17th at Fleet Feet! Join us for a festive 3ish mile route where we get to see all the festive lights in the neighborhood. Extra props if you can be the brightest lit up runner/walker too!
Our goal is to help keep you active outdoors and having fun all winter long with weekly workouts and accountability. Winter Warrior is here to do just that. This is the BEST time to get outside and get fit! You will make new friends, accomplish fitness goals, and have fun!
This group challenge is completely FREE AND OPEN TO EVERYONE, but registration is required.
Here's How it Works
There are 11 weeks of In Person Workouts. The minimum you need to attend and participate in running or walking is 1 workout per week in order to earn the milestone badge for that week.
The weeks are:
Week 1: Dec 16 - 21 - must submit results by Dec 21st at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 2: Dec 22 - 28 - must submit results by Dec 28 at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 3: Dec 29 - Jan 4 - must submit results by Jan 4th at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 4: Jan 5 - 11 - must submit results by Jan 11th at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 5: Jan 12 - 18 - must submit results by Jan 18th at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 6: Jan 19 - 25 - must submit all results by Jan 25th at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 7: Jan 26 - Feb 1 must submit all results by Feb 1st at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 8: Feb 2 - 8 - must submit all results by Feb 8th at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 9: Feb 9 - 15 - must submit all results by Feb 15th at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 10: Feb 16 - 22 - must submit all results by Feb 22nd at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
Week 11: Feb 23 - Mar 1 - must submit all results by Mar 1st at 11:59PM (no exceptions)
You can attend and participate in the following workouts to get credit
- Wednesdays at 6PM at Fleet Feet Buffalo (3ish mile group run/walk)
- Except December 24th and 31st where we have special run/walks
- Egg Nog Jog on December 24th at 9:30AM
- Resolution Run/Walk on December 31st at 9:30AM
- Saturdays at 9:15AM - Choose between 3 or 5 Mile Workout at Fleet Feet Buffalo
- Any YellowJacket Racing Calendar events during this time including
- Reindeer Run 5K December 21st
- Winter Warrior January 3rd (volunteering counts as point for this event too)
- Winterfest Hot Cocoa Races January 17th
- Teddy Trot to benefit Oishei Children's Hospital on January TBD (there is no Saturday workout this week so we can host this special event)
- Cupid's Cup 5K February 15th (volunteering counts as point for this event too)
- Cabin Fever Trail Races February 21st
Earn Virtual Badges Along the Way! Each Week you will Earn a Virtual Badge upon submission. Random Workouts & Prizes Along the Way! Bountiful amounts of High Fives, Fist Bumps or Elbow Bumps! That super special feeling that you rocked this winter of of in person workouts.
RULES
- Headlamps and Reflective Gear REQUIRED at Night Time workouts. We reserve the right to deny your credit for the workout. Safety First!
- You will still need to sign a waiver when in store upon arrival. Why? Because not everyone who attends is in the program, and this way it keeps things consistent.
- Minimum 1 In Person Workout/Week in order to earn the Virtual Badge
- YellowJacket Racing Calendar Events for this time period can be included as a workout and a point (see list above)
- Please do not wear studs on non carpeted floors in the stores. Speaking of which be sure to metal underfoot should you go out in inclement weather.
- You must submit your own weekly tallies by the date and time indicated above - NO EXCEPTIONS!! We will not retroactive the submissions.
- When submitting your workouts it is a WHOLE NUMBER ONLY. If you did 2 workouts that week, your number is 2 for that week. Do not submit times.
- We reserve the right to add rules at any time.
- NO WHINING!! Enjoy and Savor every moment of activity. Why? Because you CAN!

How to Submit Results
Go into your profile on Run Sign Up and submit results for this event. You will submit how many in person workouts you attended and participated in. You must submit by 11:59PM of the Sunday of that prior week (see above). We do not retroactive submissions. Plus you are responsible for submitting your own.
