Join us for the 3rd Annual "Step Up For Kids" 5K Trail Run/Walk and Family Fun Run!
Held on the scenic trails of the FLCC Campus in Canandaigua, this 5K offers family fun for all ages:
- Custom race t-shirt (must register by 9/25)
- Post-race refreshments & entertainment
- Awards ceremony
- 1K Family Fun Run & kids activities
- Kids 5 and under participate for free (no t-shirt)
- Teams of 4+ receive $5 off each 5K registration (create or join a team when registering)
- Family rate of $40 for 2 adults and up to 4 children (by paper registration only, includes 2 t-shirts if registered by 9/25)
All proceeds benefit the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes, a child-friendly location where allegations of abuse are responded to by a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Child victims of sexual abuse who receive services at CACs are 4x more likely to receive forensic medical exams and increased referrals for mental health treatment than children served by communities who do not have a Child Advocacy Center.

Increased usage of Child Advocacy Centers has resulted in increased successful prosecutions of child abuse perpetrators. One study shows an average 94% conviction rate for Child Advocacy Center cases carried forward.
•Saving money…
The Child Advocacy Center model saves court, child protection, and investigative dollars averaging a $1000 savings per case compared to non-CAC communities.
