Please join us on Sunday April 26th, 2026 as the SUNY Canton Women's Soccer and Men's Hockey programs host our second annual SUNY Canton Athletics 5K Cancer Run and Walk. Registration begins at 11 am, with the race kicking off at 12 noon. The event is held in support of those battling cancer and in remembrance of those who have lost their lives. Together, we support those fighting cancer and remember those we've lost. Proceeds from the event will be split and donated to the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center in Ogdensburg, NY and the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY.
If you're inclined to do so, please bring a picture of a loved one who has been affected by cancer to be hung and displayed on a memory board in the lobby throughout the event. Feel free to leave a message on the back of the picture as well.
Registration prior to the race and a raffle basket drawing following the race will both take place in the lobby of the Roos House in between the Terry Martin Arena and Stan Cohen Court. The race will depart from the Roos House next to the SUNY Canton Turf Field, travel down into town over the footbridges, over the Grasse River bridge, and back onto campus via the Bird St access road, finishing back at the starting line next to the Roos House and Turf Field.

Race course shown above.
Walkers and runners will leave the Roos House, head down Cornell Dr toward the footbridges and cross the footbridges onto Riverside Dr. At Main St, the course crosses the Grasse River and takes a right Stillman Dr, a left onto Bird St, followed by a right onto the SUNY Canton access road. Once back on campus, the course returns to Cornell Dr and walkers will take a left at the Roos House, follow the CARC access road around the building to the back parking lot and continue up to the turf field press box, and finish at the starting line at the corner of the turf field.
