DENFIT NIGHTMARE

For the next event in the DENFIT Race Series, we're taking things off-road...
Prepare yourself for the NIGHTMARE - a haunted 5k adventure trail run. 

Participants will make their way through the thrilling twists and turns of forest and trails, never knowing what surprises lurk ahead. 
Some scares will be mere decoration...others may be the Undead lying in wait to chase you!
(****DISCLAIMER PLEASE READ: You WILL be chased by volunteers during this event. If you are easily upset by horror, being chased or thematic visuals, or potential incidental bodily contact, you might want to pass. NO REFUNDS will be issued****)

This is an ADVENTURE run, meaning there will be natural as well as constructed obstacles to scramble over, around, and through.
Obstacles are all-skill-level friendly and are minor obstructions to the path to add some fun (and scares) to the course! 

The event begins with the SURVIVAL WAVE, where participants will be provided a flag belt with THREE flags. Those represent your "lives" which the Undead (volunteers on course) will be trying to take from you along the way. Finish the course with at least one flag/life left and you'll have earned the coveted DENFIT CUSTOM SPEAR along with a killer medal, t-shirt, and beverage! 

After the Survival Wave begins, the Fun Run Waves will begin and groups of approx 30 participants will head out on course every 20min. These waves will be for laughs and scares and does not entail having to finish with flags intact. 
IMPORTANT: when registering, pick the "corral" that has the wave and start time you/your group wants to run.

At the Finish Line, EACH participant will receive:

• A killer medal
• DENFIT event t-shirt
• banana, water, and drink chip

To guarantee your shirt size, you MUST register by October 1st.

Parking will be on-site and a short, well-marked walk to EVENT Area where participants can check in at registration.
A $5 donation is appreciated for parking - all parking proceeds will be donated to the Chaumont Fire Dept. 

After participants are done having fun running for their lives, there will be a Festival Area with entertainment, fall festivities, and a food truck! 

Be sure to bring a change of clothes if desired, there will be changing tents next to the festival.
