Description
Join us for a 5k fundraiser at Sachem East High School for the Tom Toscano foundation. Participants will run a 5k on the Tom Toscano cross country course. Every entrant who registers before 8/20 will also receive a race t-shirt (registrants after 8/20 will receive a tshirt while supplies last).
The Tom Toscano Foundation benefits numerous endeavors in cross country and track & field in Sachem School District and the surrounding communities.
There will be no age group or race awards.
Entrants can also participate virtually if not able to attend race on August 29th.
Packet Pickup for In Person 5k
Pre-Race Packet Pickup will be held at Sayville Running Company (49 Main St, Sayville) on Saturday August 28th from 11am to 4pm.
Day of Race Packet Pickup will begin at Sachem East High School, near the varsity baseball field (near the back parking lot, past the track), at 7am on race day morning.
Technical Race T-Shirt
Every participant who registers before 8/20 will be guaranteed to get a high quality tech-t with the race logo on it. Participants who register after 8/20 will get a shirt while supplies last.
Virtual Race:
Long Island participants can pick up their t-shirts from September 1st through September 15th at Sayville Running Company (49 Main St Sayville, NY 11782).
Out of town participants (non-Suffolk or Nassau county residents) will automatically have their shirts mailed to them. Please make sure you register with the address you want your shirt mailed to.
Kids Fun Run
This year's Kids Fun Run is in Honor of Susan Curtin
The kids fun run is a mini version of the adult race, starting and finishing in the same locations, but taking a shorter route (500 yards). Kids aged 12 and under are welcome to participate for free, and will receive a participation ribbon courtesy of Sayville Running Company.

Raffle
Participants will be automatically entered into a raffle. 5 lucky winners selected at random will be mailed a $25 gift card to Sayville & Smithtown Running Company
How to Upload Photos of Your Run to the Results
Have a friend take a picture of you running your race, or take a selfie when you finish, or supply some pictures from your personal virtual run!
- click on the results tab
- click your result
- click on the "photos" link (located underneath your bib number)
- click "start uploading photos"
Virtual Participants: Posting Your Results
1. Click on the results tab on the main registration page
2. Click "submit virtual results" button
3. Find yourself by entering your name
4. Enter your time
Results take a few minutes to update, so it may be a short time before you see yourself on the leaderboard.
Virtual Participants: Downloading Your Virtual Race Bib
- After registering for the race, click the circle icon in the top right corner of RunSignUp.com
- Click "profile"
- Scroll down to "Upcoming Races"
- Select "View Pre-Race Bib" under Tom Toscano Virtual 5k
Feel free to print your bib and wear it while you race OR post it to social media and let everyone know that you're running the Tom Toscano 5k!
