Moreau Lake Trail 15k - The Toughest 15k in NY and Not Too Bad 5k

The Moreau Lake 15k takes place at Moreau Lake State Park, known as “one of the top outdoor locations in the country” (Reserve America). This event will see the traditional 15k trail run mixed in with lots of 80s music and unforgettable 80s fashion.  The event is low-key, minimal frills and minimal swag event. Your entry does include a shirt, chip-timing, a post race beachside BBQ and some cool overall awards.  There is an accompanying 5k for those who enjoy trails or want to dip their toes into trail running with less of a serious commitment. 

15k trail run (8a) – a classic, brutal trail run up the ‘Staircase of Death’ at mile 2, leading into miles of rollers, creeks, etc. before making your way back down the ridge to the beach.

5k - A mildly challenging 5k trail run the follows the 15k course for the 1st 1k and then wanders the lower ridgeline before returning to the carriage trail and the beach.
