The Butternut Valley Days Hellbender 5k Cross Country Run, a fun, scenic, cross-country style run that celebrates outdoor recreation, community, and the natural beauty of the Butternut Valley in Western Otsego County. Named for the eastern hellbender, a remarkable native salamander and symbol of healthy streams, this 5k invites runners of all levels to get outside for a one-of-a-kind experience in the Valley.  The run kicks off Butternut Valley Days, a multiday celebration of the region.
