On average, there are 22 veteran suicides per day in the United States. In an effort to raise awareness of this epidemic, EquiCenter will host Hoof-it For Heroes™. Beginning November 8th, and continuing for the next 22 days, the EquiCenter invites you to complete 2.2 miles to raise awareness for the 22 veterans that commit suicide each day. By running, walking, horseback riding - or any other means you choose to be active - you will raise awareness of this crisis and help support a national pilot program that utilizes the powerful connection between horses and humans to help veterans heal.
