Description
Come out and join us for a morning of fun and fitness as we run and walk in memory of Bob Palmer, a member of the Syracuse fitness community for many decades, and in support of Amyloidosis research and awareness. The event will benefit The Amyloidosis Center at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. Amyloidosis is a rare disease involving the deposition of abnormal proteins into organ tissues, with only approximately 4,500 new cases diagnosed in the United States each year.
In addition to the run/walk, we also have a Crazy Tie contest as part of the event. Bob Palmer was a beloved school psychologist in Central New York and wore silly ties daily to school to make students laugh and staff smile. You are invited wear a silly tie to the event, the more outlandish or creative, the better. We will recognize the top male and female 5K finishers. We will also offer prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best Crazy Tie, and 1st and 2nd Prize for the best Team Ties.
