Set on Upward Brewing Company’s 120-acre mountain plot in the Catskill Mountains, the Beer Mountain Challenge is a trail run with two distance options for runners – 2 mile and 4 mile. Appropriately dubbed, Beer Mountain peaks at 1870 feet and is covered in a network of trails up, down and across the mountain – all located on Upward Brewing’s property! This is a super fun and technical course with lots of rocks, loose rocks, stumps, roots, uneven footing, etc -- and it will surely leave you with exhausted lungs, a beer in your hand, and a big fat smile : )
(Online registration ONLY - no race day registration!)
About the Race:
The 2-mile option is one loop with 515 feet of elevation gain, and the 4-mile option is two loops with 1,030 feet of elevation gain. Courses are a mix of foot trails (75%), rocky carriage path (20%) and grassy fields (5%).
Each registrant receives a t-shirt, a custom finisher medal and a free craft beer token for use in Upward Brewing’s taproom!
