History of "Teal There's A Cure" Run/Walk

“Teal There’s A Cure” run/walk was founded by Maureen O'Hara, who passed away from ovarian cancer in July 2012. In her memory, her family has continued to organize the annual event. Maureen’s mission was to bring awareness, education and research to ovarian cancer.

A donation of $39,000.00 from the 5th Annual Teal There's a Cure Walk was given to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The funds have been directed to the OCRF-funded research project, “Bioinformative Screen Identifies POLQ over expression in Ovarian Cancers,” led by Dr. Raphael Ceccaldi, PharmD, PhD, at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
