This means 100% of the net registration proceeds and 100% of fundraising dollars goes to the cause. We are passionate about spreading awareness on ovarian cancer and funding research to improve outcomes and save lives.   Prizes will be provided for individual fundraisers that raise $100, $250, $500, or $1,000. Heathers Memorial

About Heather M. Weeks
Our love for Heather M. Weeks is the inspiration for the Hope for Heather Organization. The name comes from the amazing benefit in 2008 sponsored by Tawn Marie's Dance Studio booster club. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of colon cancer at age 23. Diagnosed as Stage 4 cancer. She documented her treatment in her heatherina blog
She worked at the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) as assistant to CEO, Elizabeth Howard throughout her battle with cancer. Heather was committed to spreading the word about Ovarian Cancer because there are often few symptoms before the cancer has progressed to stage 3 or 4. The success of the benefit and the support of her employer OCRF allowed Heather to fight back against the medical bills that accompany cancer treatment. Heather passed on November 14, 2008 at 24. More details about Heather can be found at Heather Memorial Page.
