The 1st Annual Francis H. Gawors Memorial Turkey Trot by Confluence Running will be held on Thanksgiving morning at Thomas Bull Memorial Park.
The 5k run is a family-friendly event and we encourage participants of all ages and capabilities to join in on an American tradition.
While the 5k itself will look a little different due to COVID, we are excited for you, your family, and friends to join us. In order to keep our communities healthy and safe we ask that you follow the protocols we have set in place.
COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS (please read):
Wave Start Format: Waves will go off every 30 minutes. Participants will choose their starting wave time during registration.
There will be no race day swag pick up or registration. Race day bib pick up will be made available on request, but will not include swag. All swag must be picked up at Confluence Running Hudson Valley in Goshen or request shipping during registration (virtual racers only). Runners will be asked to arrive no more than 20 minutes before their designated start times to facilitate social distancing and COVID-safe procedures. Runners are asked to not check-in ahead of their designated start time. Arrive early? Hang with your car, stretch, relax...but please don’t make your way into the start area until your designated window.
We will start 50 runners every 30 minutes. In the event that Orange County has entered Phase 2, we will reduce the start numbers to 25 people every 15 minutes. In the event of this, we will email all runners, so watch your email (even your junk folders) on or near race day should our COVID status change. Runners will be spaced 6ft apart at the start.
