NordicFest Trail Race

Distance: 4ish Trail Miles
Join us for the NordicFest Trail Race benefiting the RMSC Cumming Nature Center! Head out for a 4ish mile trail run/hike/snowshoe through the beautiful hills & woods of western NY. A winter wonderland experience. RMSC Cumming Nature Center (CNC) is a 900-acre nature preserve located in Naples, NY. Part of the RMSC (Rochester Museum & Science Center), CNC offers year-round hiking, unique events, and nature-based educational programs. During winter, the nature center becomes a winter wonderland with 15 miles of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, a Visitors Center with rentals and a fireside lounge, and special activities every weekend
After the race enjoy the NordicFest with cross-country skiing (trails, rentals, and lessons), snowshoeing (rentals, trails, and a guided hike), and access to our general exhibits and a fireside lounge back at the Visitors Center. There will likely be crafts and activities for children too. Other guests are welcome with a $5.00 entrance fee to the RMSC Cumming Nature Center.
By registering for this event you are acknowledging that the date, time, location, and distance of the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled at any time as deemed necessary by the Race Directors due to circumstances beyond their control. In the event that any of these scenarios happens or any other, there will be no refunds, transfers, or deferrals allowed unless otherwise stated.

"Cumming Nature Center (CNC) is a dynamic environmental education facility that celebrates the unique landscape and culture of the Finger Lakes region through hands-on learning opportunities and thoughtful exhibits. Our 900-acre preserve is as beautiful as it is vast. You can meander through more than 6 miles of trails complete with wetlands, climbing forest roads and hiking through the past. And you can investigate the curious intricacies of nature with our educational programs."

DIRECTIONS FROM ROCHESTER, NY AND POINTS NORTH
- Take Interstate 390 south to Routes 5 & 20.
- Proceed east to Route 15A in Lima.
- Go south on Route 15A to Route 20A in Hemlock.
- Head east on Route 20A to East Lake Road in Honeoye.
- Proceed south on East Lake Road to County Road 33. There are signs to point the way from the junction of East Lake Road and County Road 33.
- Turn east on County Road 33, and then southeast on Pinewood Hill Road. This becomes Gulick Road, and the CNC entrance will be on your right.
