1st Kagitingan Run - limited to 100 runners

We are inviting everyone to please come and join the Philippine Consulate General in New York on their first event in partnering of Pinoy Runners New York, Pinoy Runners USA, Pinoy Runners Of New Jersey to commemorate the Fall of Corregidor and the Bataan Death March.

Araw ng Kagitingan, also known as the Day of Valor, marks the greatness of Filipino fighters during World War II. It’s a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan & Corregidor during the war. We can dedicate these lengths of Bataan Death March of 102km accumulatively that run throughout that period. This event is open to all nationalities all over the world. The goal is to highlight the history and the fact that Filipinos and Americans were allies during this war.

How to join and Mechanics: 
1. Register using the link below and by clicking on Sign Up (limited to 100 runners):

2. We have two options upon registration to avail a shirt and get a finisher medal.
* Cumulatively run/walk/jog/hike/trail or treadmill the 102km distance and submit your activities as you complete them 
Option A: (Virtual Run):
Run 102 kms anytime, anywhere from April 9 - May 14, 2022.  
Option B: (Virtual Run + 5K In-Person)
a. Run 97 kms anytime, anywhere from April 9 - May13, 2022
b. Finish the last 5km by running in person in Central Park
In-Person 5K Details:
Date and Start Time:  May 14, 2022 at 6:00 AM Sharp
Address: Start at West Drive & 88th Street and Finish at Philippine Consulate General Embassy of New York.
* To follow after the race: please stay for the ceremonies and awarding of medals. Refreshments and snacks are available on a first come first served basis.

3. Registration Fee (Register early to avoid price increase)
a. Now to April 22, 2022 = $32.74 ($30.00 Event Fee + 2.74 RunSignup Fee)
b. From April 23 - April 30, 2022 = $38.03 ($35.00 Event Fee + $3.03 SignUp Fee)
* Only 100 spots available. Registration closes April 30, 2022 or when capacity reaches 100 whatever comes first.
