Jessica's Heroes 5K Run/Walk

This 5K certified run/walk winds its way through the heart of small town America with the purpose of supporting cancer patients as their hero. Named in honor of Jessica Froelick who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 34 leaving behind a husband and two young boys, this run/walk recognizes the hero within each of us. Jessica was the epitome of the compassionate advocate for cancer survivors like herself. She supported others going through treatment in every way she could - through fundraisers, benefits, volunteering at Oneida Healthcare, and lending assistance wherever she was needed. She was a source of strength and grace and will always be missed. This run/walk is our way of honoring her example - as her heroes. We transform into everyday heroes each time we act out of love, showing courage in the face of overwhelming fear by holding a hand, offering comfort, and assuring our support. Do you have someone in your life you wish to lift up? Then put on your hero's cape and join us on Saturday, October 20, 2018 for this inaugural event in Oneida NY. Event proceeds benefit the Cancer Care Fund at Oneida Health Cancer Care, medical oncology affiliate of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for patients in need of a hero like you.
