Orangetown PBA Remember 9/11 Virtual Stair Climb Fundraiser

All across the country communities are finding new ways to show that they “Will Never Forget”. One of these ways is with what is called a 110 climb done by supporters for the fallen Law Enforcement, Firefighters and EMS personnel. We have created one of our own in our fine Town of Orangetown with the Orangetown PBA Remember 9/11 Virtual Stair Climb Fundraiser.

On September 11th 2001 Emergency Responders entered into the 110 story structures of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and climbed. They did so, courageously, to save as many victims of the 9/11 attacks as possible. And along the way these brave heroes lost their lives.

With this event we seek to raise funds for those in need in our community and at large. Our major focus will be for the Stephen Siller, Tunnel to Towers Foundation who has graciously supported families of our Fallen First Responders as well as the families of our Fallen Military.

This event is a Virtual Stair Climb/Walk/Run based on the World Trade Center’s 110 Stories which were composed of 1,980 stair steps. This # of 1,980 will be incorporated into our program for the Virtual Event.

Registration to open on Friday September 11, 2020 and will remain open for the month of September. After registering, complete your goal at once or over a period of time. Donations will be directed to help those in need and assist the Tunnels to Tower Foundation in their “Towers of Light” and Mortgage Payments for the Fallen.

Event Options:

1- Adult Stair Climb – 110 Story (1,980 Stair Steps) logged on a Stair Machine or Physical Steps. $35.00

2- Adult Walk/Run- Consisting of 19,800 Steps completed by walking or running which is approximately 9.38 Miles. $35.00

3- Child 1 Mile (1,980) Event for children 12 &Under- Consisting of 1,980 Steps approximately 1Mile completed by walking or running. $20.00

4- Non-Participant Donations $35.00 or Any Donation is Welcome
