Chilly Chase 5K

Kids' Run begins at 9:00 am; 5K Run begins at 9:45 am.

Deadline for Pre-Registrations: Friday, November 14, 12:00 noon

Entry Fee: 5K Individual Pre-registration:                                                                                                                              $25 for individuals /Teams of 4 or more: $20 each / 1 Mile Kids’ Run (ages 5-10) $10 each

            After Deadline:                                                                                                                                                          5K Individuals: $30 /Teams of 4 or more: $25 each / 1 Mile Kids’ Run (ages 5-10) $15

Place: Tioga County Office Building Property, Academy St. & 56 Main Street, Owego. Parking is free at Marvin Park, street parking will be limited. There is no on-site parking (See back for map and directions.)

Check-in: Pre-registered packets can be picked up on Friday, November 14, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Tioga County Tourism Office at 80 North Ave. in Owego, and 8:00 am at the race site at the County Office Building’s Academy Street entrance. No registration or pick-up after 8:45 am for the kids' race or 9:30 am for the 5K.

Awards: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place prizes in the Male and Female categories will be awarded for the 5K Run. Prizes will also be awarded for the Kids’ Run.

Giveaways: The first 250 adults and 50 kids will receive a Chilly Chase T-Shirt, and all participants will receive water, fruit, food, coupons and more!

Note: The race directors reserve the right to reject any entry for any reason. The race is partly run with traffic on a state highway, so dogs are absolutely forbidden. Jogging strollers are allowed. Those observing poor manners towards motorists or not obeying the traffic marshals will be disqualified. The race has been certified by USA Track & Field. No refunds for cancellations.

The Chilly Chase 5K takes participants through the streets of historic Owego, NY on a mostly flat, USATF Sanctioned route. The first 250 adults and 50 kids to register will get a t-shirt! 1st, 2nd and 3rd place runners in all age categories will be recognized. Go for your best time, run with a team or go at your own pace and enjoy the scenic route! The 1 Mile Kid’s Penguin Shuffle is a fun run. After the race, stay and shop for the holidays in the quaint downtown Owego shopping district!
