The 2018 5K Forward for Recovery is the North Country’s premiere event to celebrate recovery and support substance use prevention. This year, money raised through sponsorships and our race will help fund Champlain Valley Family Center’s program supporting youth transitioning into middle school. The program pairs evidence-based practices and adventure-based learning for a full week of skill-building during the summer and six weekly group sessions during the school year to foster a healthy school transition, and reduce risk for substance use.  Your participation will provide funding for approximately 50 2019 participants. Your sponsorship will help CVFC prevent substance use in Clinton County.

On the day of the race, check-in will begin at 8:00am with the race beginning at 9:15am.   The registration fee for the 5KFWD for Recovery is $20 online prior to the event.  On-site registration is $25.  Registration for the race includes a 5KFWD t-shirt, race packet and bib number.  Registration will continue up to the day of the event, but shirt sizes will not be guaranteed for those registering after May 25.  5KFWD medals will be awarded to all participants.  Prize baskets will also be awarded to the top overall male and female racer.

For Kids 10 and Under a Kids Fun Run Obstacle Course Race will be held at 10:15am.  Registration for the Kids Fun Run Obstacle Course Race is on-site the day of the race beginning at 9:00am.  There is a $5 registration fee and a parent or guardian must be present.  All participants will receive a medal.
