Description
10 YEARS- The 10th annual Run to Remember - Sundown Run, will be held Friday August 16th at the US Oval in Plattsburgh. All proceeds (100%) stay local and go to the Third Age Adult Day Center (on SUNY Plattsburgh Campus). The centers provide the following services: educating, counseling, supporting, evaluating, facilitating, and enriching the lives of people living with Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias, and their families. The event is organized in Memory of Doug Hoffman, who died of Alzheimer's at the age of 67,and in Honor of Ellen Cronk, who is living with Dementia, being cared for by her family, and attends the Third Age Adult Center.
The 5K fun run/walk features a 1 mile Brain Buster Bustle kids fun run
Registration begins: 6:00 pm
6:30 pm Start time for One Mile Kids Run and 5k Walkers
7:00 pm Start time 5K Run
Donation:
$20.00 individual registration fee before August 12th
$25.00 individual registration fee on and after after August 13th
$5.00 kids run 12 and under
First 25 registered for the 5K fun run/walk receive a t-shirt!
The race starts in the front of the oval travels on the oval toward Ohio Ave and then takes a left on Ohio avenue. Follow Ohio avenue to Nevada oval Rd... Take another left... The follow Nevada until you get to the Terry Gordon bike path...turn left on the Terry Gordon bike path and follow that past the back of the rec center. At a designated point you turn around and head back toward the rec center on the bike path and go up to W. Virginia Rd.. the race ends at the back of the rec center.
