Description
We are proud to introduce The Big Orange 10 Mile, an exciting new tradition coming to Port Jervis on October 19, 2025! Poised to become the premier road race in Orange County, The Big Orange 10 Mile is inspired by the spirit of the legendary Orange Classic — aiming to attract a large, competitive field while warmly welcoming new runners and walkers alike.
The timing of the race is no accident: scheduled during the peak of the Hudson Valley’s breathtaking fall foliage, The Big Orange 10 Mile also serves as the perfect tune-up for athletes preparing for the New York City Marathon just two weeks later. The 10-mile distance presents a thrilling “double-digit” milestone for newer runners and a fast, strategic challenge for veteran competitors.
The City of Port Jervis, a blossoming and proud community, is honored to host the event with the full support of its municipality. Racers will have the opportunity to experience the city’s brand-new school athletic facility, the vibrant energy of the community, and the convenience of a direct train ride from New York City — making it a perfect autumn getaway for participants and spectators alike.
Even more exciting, proceeds from the Big Orange 10 Mile will directly benefit Port Jervis parks, starting with revitalization efforts at the historic Orange Square Veteran’s Memorial Park.
Join us for an unforgettable day of running, community, and celebration in beautiful Port Jervis. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, completing your first double-digit race, or simply taking in the stunning fall colors, The Big Orange 10 Mile promises an incredible experience!
We can’t wait to see you at the starting line!
