Traffic and Road Closures

The Community Chest is respectful of inconvenience to residents living along West Shore Road and in Beacon Hill.  For that reason, and to minimize any lane closure times, the Winter Run is open to participants with a running pace of 15:00, and a finish time not to exceed 75 minutes.  For residents travelling East/South from Beacon Hill, West Shore Road will be closed from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM.  For cars traveling North on West Shore Road from Roslyn, West Shore Road will be closed just north of Fairway Drive.  Fairway Drive will be accessible from the south and exiting traffic must turn right.  Residents of Beacon Hill Colony will be able to exit the neighborhood heading north/west on Marginal Road.

Parking

All participants will be able to park in the Hempstead Harbor Beach Park parking lot where there is plenty of parking.

Make sure to arrive by 8:30 AM as West Shore Road will close at 8:45 AM for the safety of all participants and residents.

The start/finish is in this lot as is the post-race party.

Location

The race venue is at the Town of North Hempstead's, Hempstead Harbor Beach Park. Address for GPS is 175 West Shore Road, Port Washington, NY 11050
