Whether you’re a regular runner or a bit of a novice, it doesn’t matter, this running holiday is about inspiring each other to lead a more active lifestyle. We love that walking & running is an activity that brings our community together & are celebrating on Wednesday, June 1st @ 6:00pm with a 3 mile run/walk. Simply grab your running shoes, a bottle of water, and get your legs moving with us!

History of Global Running Day
Global Running Day started in the United States in 2009, although at the time it was referred to as National Running Day. It is held annually on the first Wednesday in June. The inaugural "Global" Running Day, as we now know it, was held on June 1, 2016. On that day over 2.5 million runners from 177 different countries took part, running an estimated 9.2 million miles between them!
Celebrating this day each year aims to get everyone moving and active! Global Running Day is a celebration of activities that provide more that just benefits to physical health, but also benefits to mental health that help participants reduce stress & anxiety. While recent world events have made Global Running Day more challenging, we're grateful for running & walking events that are coming back in 2022 & allowing our community to come together once again!
