What is UrbanFIT?
UrbanFIT is an aerobic and anaerobic workout, mixing cardio and strength training. It is outdoors using what nature and our city gives us--no fancy gym equipment needed! Urban Fit is both challenging and fun.
Goals of UrbanFit:
1. To try something new and fun
2. To challenge yourself physically in a new way
3. To build total body strength to improve your running and health
What does UrbanFIT entail?
During UrbanFIT workouts we will be running a bit but the primary focus is on core strength-- it's a total body workout! We’ll incorporate stairs, hills, benches, and who knows what else! If we can think it up, we will do it!
UrbanFit Locations
UrbanFIT will explore three different areas of Rochester that will repeat twice throughout the 6 week session. The week will consist of the Monday and Thursday UrbanFIT workouts.
Week One/Week Four: Cobbs Hill (Meet near the basketball courts)
Week Two/Week Five: Highland Park
Week Three/Week Six:High Falls (Pont de Rennes Pedestrian Bridge)
*Monday July 4th we will not meet, instead we have scheduled the last UrbanFit for 8/8 at Cobbs Hill Park
