Description
Are you interested in a multisport event such as a Duathlon or a Triathlon? Are you curious on how to train based on your current skill levels in each event? Let Fleet Feet Sports' multisport training program help you prepare and train for your multisport event. Our program will allow you to pick and choose your training a la carte based on your goals. Each program within the multisport program seeks to improve your current fitness level and prepare you to meet your goals.
You will have three programs to choose from in our Multisport Training Program to chose from:
Swim Program
Space is limited to 100 participants, please register early
Commitment: 11 Weeks Harley School Pool
Current Fitness level: beginner to advance swimming experience
Swim 101: For those who may not feel comfortable in the water and need basic skills necessary to swim. Prior to starting the program, participants must know how to swim but it does not have to be well. This program will provide coached sessions including stroke refinement, swim endurance and beginner swim workouts to get you confident and comfortable in the water.
Swim 201: For those who are comfortable in the water and have a good foundation of swimming. This class is ideal for those who want to improve their endurance while refining their stroke and technique.
Class Format: One weekly organized and coached session for both Swim 101 and Swim 201, training options and workouts outside of the coached session, and a weekly email from the coach.Offered Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:30-9:00PM
Bike/Run Program (aka Brick)
Commitment: 11 weeks
Fitness Level: Moderate, prior cycling and running experience
Our Brick Program (bike/run) is designed to coincide with our swim program to accommodate our training multisport athletes. In these 11 weeks participants will have outdoor workouts starting with a bike workout the a run workout directly following. This program is great for those participating in Duathlons.
Program Includes
· One weekly coached workout (Wednesdays 6PM), Saturday distance runs with our Half and Full Marathon Training groups (7AM locations vary), select weekend distance bike rides organized by the Endurance Team.
· Education on bike fit, technique and how to keep your bike at optimal performance
· Weekly emails from coaches
· Fun group workouts
Swim + Brick Program
The perfect training for triathletes! This 11 week program includes the swim program (register for your choice of day) as well as the Bike/run program. This program will help you train for the Pittsford Triathlon at the beginning of June.
